Scope and Contents note

Letter from Stenhouse to Thomas L. Kane, for his historical review of Mormon history he asks Thomas L. Kane to provide any information relating to a meeting held on August 7, 1846 in which Thomas L. Kane was consulted and then a memorial was sent to President Polk thanking him for the opportunity to provide the Mormon Battalion. Dated December 23, 1871.
