Abraham H. Cannon diary volume 19, 1895 January-December
Scope and Contents
Abraham continues to write about his duties as an apostle, father, and husband. He resigns from the Deseret News Publishing Company and works in new capacities as Vice President of the Bullion-Beck Mining Company and Director of the Tontine Investment Company. As Utah comes closer to reaching statehood, the Presidency and Quorum of Twelve Apostles determine the extent of the Church's influence on politics as well as the role that women should play in politics. He also deals with the birth of a son and various illnesses in his family. At the end of this volume, he records another patriarchal blessing given to him. Dated 1895 January to December.
