Edward M. Hayhurst letters, 1863 June
Scope and Contents
Contains seventeen letters from Edward Hayhurst to his father or "Our Folks," his mother, or his brother Joseph during June 1863. The letters were written either from camp headquarters in Triune, Tennessee, or during the unit's journey through Readyville, Beechgrove, and Manchester, Tennessee, at the end of the month. The 124th participated in small skirmishes every few days, as well as a minor battle, while in Triune.
