Scope and Contents
Contains newspaper and magazine clippings, letters and correspondence, business cards, reports, photographs, notes, research materials, and essays created or collected by Keith M. Cottam, primarily during his time as an advisor to the Hoc-viên quôc-gia hành-chánh (National Academy of Public Administration) in Saigon, Vietnam during the summer of 1971. Materials also include travel records such as immunization papers, passport and visa information, financial arrangements, and news coverage of both the project and Vietnam during the time of the project. Materials dated 1969 to 2015.

Biographical History
Keith M. Cottam (1941-) is a professor and librarian. Keith M. Cottam was born February 13, 1941 in St. George, Utah to Von Bunker and Adrene McArthur Cottam. He graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1963, and received a Master of Library Science from Pratt Institute in 1965. He married Laurel Springer on June 16, 1961, and they had five children. He married Mary Bultena Albertson on October 5, 2001. He has worked for various university libraries, including Southern Illinois University, Brigham Young University, University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt University, and University of Wyoming. He has held the positions of instructor, professor, visiting assistant professor, adult services librarian, assistant social science librarian, social science librarian, supervisor, associate director, and acting director. In 1971, he served with a team of advisors to the Hoc-viên quôc-gia hành-chánh (National Academy of Public Administration) in Saigon, Vietnam. He also enjoys bicycling, gardening, and free-lance writing.
