Administrative History

The Học-viện quốc-gia hành-chánh (Vietnam) (1959-) trains Vietnamese citizens to assume positions in public administration roles.

The Học-viện quốc-gia hành-chánh (Vietnam) or National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) was established May 29, 1959. It has been known as the Public Administration School and National Institute of Administration (under the Ministry of Home Affairs) but adopted the name NAPA in 1992. NAPA trains civil servants, public managers, and human resources managers to work as national leaders in Vietnam. NAPA has four campuses across Vietnam and is a multidisciplinary academy that offers various majors geared towards public administration careers. In addition to this training, NAPA researches and consults the government in policy matters.
