Biographical History

From the Series:

Phileon B. Robinson (1923-2003) was an administrator at Brigham Young University's Divison of Continuing Education.

Phileon Benjamin was born August 20, 1923 in Wilder, Idaho. He recieved his BA from Brigham Young University in 1945. He received his MBA from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, 1946. From 1947-1950 he served a mission in Finland for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. in 1952 he married Hortense Burton. In 1954 he returned to Finland with his family to serve as mission president there. In 1970 he received a doctorate from the University of Nebraska in Adult Education. He served 30 years as part of the BYU community, spending 20 years as an administrator in the Division of Continuing Education, after which he became the founding director of the Gerontology Center. He died September 13, 2003.
