Administrative History

The Brigham Young University Center for Teaching and Learning (2007- ) is responsible for assisting faculty and departments in improving the teaching and learning process.

The Center for Teaching and Learning formed in 2007 when the Center for Instructional Design and part of the Faculty Center reorganized. It is responsible for improving the teaching and learning process as well as assisting new faculty in their transfer to Brigham Young University. Directors include Russell T. Osguthorpe (2007-2013) and Nancy Wentworth (2013- ).

Administrative History

The Brigham Young University Center for Instructional Design (1999-2007) functioned to help university faculty develop educational curriculum and technology.

The Center for Instructional Design was founded in 1999. It was reorganized in 2007 under the name Center for Teaching and Learning. Scott L. Howell served as its director from 1999 to 2005 and Jonathan Mott served as its director from 2005 to 2007.
