Note on negative sleeve: Motion Picture Studio -- special effects machine donated; 10/28/76; Hal Williams; slip: Grace Voss Frederick, former Broadway actress and inventor of the complicated Threplex machine for special effects on television and in motion pictures, helps put the machine together at the BYU Motion Picture Studio and gives instruction on its use to Sy Felt (left) and Jesse Stay, directore of Media Productions. Mrs. Frederick, a resident of Cave Creek, Ariz., donated the machine to the BYU studio.
