Attached note: Dr. William D. Tidwell, professor of botany at BYU and specialist in paleobotany, explains some details of a palm frond which has been fossilized dating back about 50 million years. It was donated to BYU by Mountain Fuel Supply Company after being uncovered and shipped from Kemmerer, Wyo.
