From the Collection:

Contains records generated by the director of the division, his assistants, and directors of departments within the division. The records span chiefly the years of 1965 through 1976. Physical types of records represented include correspondence, minutes of meetings, subject files, reports, statistics, departmental publications, financial records, policy and procedures memoranda, newspaper clippings, research proposals, project studies and general memoranda.

Restricted. Closed for 35 years from the date of creation of the records, and thereafter open to the public in accordance with the University Archives Policy.

It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances. Permission to publish material from the Division of Learning Resources records must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services and/or the Special Collections Board of Curators.

Administrative History

The Department of Motion Picture Production (1953-1975) was a media development unit at Brigham Young University. The department operated the university's Motion Picture Studio in Provo, Utah.
