He relates experiences about being drafted early, training, and being sent to the Philippines. Describes receiving medals for good conduct and a bronze star. Materials contain a handwritten memoir of Ishbel M. Harker describing her service in the British Women's Royal Navy (W.R.N.S.). Describes her work as a "reader" in the mansion of the Duke of Bedford, where the German and Japanese codes were broken. A photograph of Harker in uniform also included. Dated 2000.

Materials contain account of the war written from the point of view of Beth, Donald Frost's wife. Describes how during the war Donald worked in the local Lockheed factory, where he helped to build the P-38. Contains the story of Walter Krauss, who Donald was friends with, and how he was instrumental in taking care of the church, post war. Many pictures of Krauss and his family are included. Dated 2003.

Materials contain a memoir in which Frank Richard Miller describes, in great detail, a relief flight over Japan to drop food and supplies from a bomber to prisoners of war. He talks about the plane, the ocean, the island of Iwo Jima and of Tokyo. Also included is a newspaper article about his father’s name change, and how they were able to find 1,700 ancestors. Material includes a handwritten outline of the five major battles that Lloyd C. Gneiting participated in under General Patton in the U.S. Army during World War II. Dated September 2005.

Scope and Contents File contains materials relating to the service of Albert Theodore Tuttle in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Materials include letters, pictures, certificates, and newspaper articles. The letters discuss his part in the invasion of Iwo Jima and he tells of the flag raising and his part in it.
