Contains a biographical sketch of Colonel Philip St. George Cooke and extensive photocopies from two books on his life: "The West of Philip St. George Cooke, 1809-1895," 1955; and "The Conquest of New Mexico and California in 1846-1848," an edited version of Philip St. George Cooke's own account with a foreword by his son and namesake. Materials dated 1955 to 1964.
