Scope and Contents
Research on Persons who were present at the Platte Bridge/Red Butte Battle, Wyoming, 1865, and on Historians who studied the Red Butte Battle. Xerox copies of the notes, journals, and correspondence of survivors of the battle (John C. Friend, Isaac Pennock, S.H. Fairfield) as well as of the notes and newspaper series of historian Lt. William Drew, April - May 1882 (including a first-hand account of the battle).
