Family History

The origin of the Delap family is Scotland and Ireland. The spellings of the name are as follows: Delap, DeLap, DeLapp, Dunlop. Descendants settled in Wisconsin, New York, and Massachusetts. One family in particular joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints, but did not follow the Saints west. The folder contains thirty-five typewritten genealogy group sheets. The materials relate to the genealogies of the Delap and the Maxham families and correspondence from 1982. Also included are some brief biographical essays of family members.

Biographical / Historical

Nellie Kauer was a genealogist and family historian. On the family sheets is listed Helen (Nellie) Maud Huntley 1879-1959. She married a Kauer. Perhaps this is the author of this collection.
