Scope and Contents
The collection contains family correspondence and information regarding Calvin Delos McOmber's mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Czechoslovakia. Also contains journals, photographs and negatives, papers regarding temple work, papers regarding McComber's work in the seminary and institute programs, legal documents, and ephemera. The ephemera includes postcards, information about a dairy, funeral programs, and election items. There is also some family history relating to David Stout, Daisie Stout Richardson, and Achsah Stout. Dated 1924-1993.

Biographical / Historical
Calvin Delos McOmber, Jr., was born April 11, 1910, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Calvin Delos McOmber and Achsah Stout. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Czechoslovakia from 1934 to 1937. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Czechoslovakia from 1934 to 1937. In 1940, he graduated from the University of Utah. Calvin married Frances Brodil on April 30, 1937, in Salt Lake City. Calvin later served in the institute and seminary programs in Idaho for the church. He also served in a stake presidency, and as a stake patriarch. He served in the Idaho Falls temple presidency in 1975. Calvin died November 4, 1980, in Yolo, California.
