Medallion commemorating the 400th anniversary of the National University of Mexico. Inscription in Latin reads NOVI LUX ORBIS QUATER SAECULARIS ANIMA PATRIAE (The light of the new world for the 4th time is the mind (continually) of the secular fatherland); and NOVUS MIHI NASCITUR ORDO (New world is born to me).
