File contains accounts, news clippings, and letters concerning the winning of the Victoria Cross. The file contains "How I Won the Victoria Cross" by Piper Laidlaw whose ankle was badly wounded in the war. File also contains articles of Cates, Haig, and Craig--other scout awardees of the Victoria Cross. File also containt the details regarding the awarding of the cross to White and Cruikshank. Dated 1916-1920.
