Biographical History

Thomas L. Kane, Jr. (1863-1929) was a physician in Pennsylvania.

William Thomas Leiper Kane was born on November 17, 1863 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Thomas L. Kane and Elizabeth Dennistoun Wood. After his father's death in 1883 he took the name Thomas L. Kane, Jr. Kane attended Bryant & Stratton Business College, and later medical school at Thomas Jefferson University. He established his medical practice in Kane, Pennsylvania, and working with his mother and brother established a hospital in the town in 1887. He married Anna Virginia Wright (1872-1906) in 1893, and they had four children. After Virginia's death, Kane married Belle Espy Kean (1879-1960) and they had one child together. Kane died on September 11, 1929 in Clifton Springs, New York.
