Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Mary Bathgate was born in 1798 in Scotland. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1856 in Dan McArthur's handcart company. She married James Boyonton Shelley in 1856 and lived in American Fork, Utah. She wrote poetry and died in 1884.

Contains letters written primarily to and from Nora Ellen Crockett Ream and William Dewine Ream dated from November 1, 1922 to November 29, 1922. Correspondents include Beulah Ream Allen, Kenneth Durword Ream, Fabian Ream, Mabel Aileen Crockett, William Wesley Ream, George Douglas Ream, Kenneth Durward Ream, Ida Nora Ream and Milton Parke Ream. Also includes some other materials including invitations and post cards.
