Jonathan Steggell (1833-1885) was born 15 Dec. 1833 at Kirton, Suffolk, England and died 11 Feb. 1885 at American Fork, Utah.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Steggell was born in England in 1833, served in as a cabin boy on many sea voyages, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Elizabeth Jane Bennett in 1856. Once Steggell was shipwrecked and nearly starved. He came to Utah in 1861. He returned to England from 1866 to 1868 to serve as a missionary for his faith.
