Biographical History
William Bench Jr. (1840-1920) was an early member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who settled in Manti, Utah.
William Bench Jr. was born in Southampton, Hampshire, England on November 6, 1840, to William Bench Sr. and Ann Longman. At the age of eleven in 1851, Bench departed for Utah with his family aboard the ship Ellen Maria. On December 25, 1862, he married his first wife, Frances Ann Tatton. On October 11, 1869, he married his second wife, Martine Larsen. On April 10, 1877, he married his third wife, Christina Ericksen. He made a living as a farmer. He died on July 9, 1920, at the age of 79 in Manti, Utah.
