Joseph William Stobbe (1921-2016) was a doctor and World War II veteran in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joseph William Stobbe was born on October 31, 1921 in Castle Dale, Utah, to Ludwig Henry Otto and Rosa Martha Augusta Naschcke Stobbe. Stobbe served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New England States Mission from 1941-1943. After his mission, Joseph registered for service in the U.S. Army, where he landed with the 90th Division in Normandy on D-Day and fought as a combat infantryman and sniper. For his service, Stobbe was awarded the Purple Heart Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Bronze Star with Valor, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was also awarded the Legion of Honour Medal from France in 2015.

Stobbe married Elna Marie Parkinson Haymond on June 4, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah and the couple had six children together. Joseph graduated from the University of Utah Medical School in 1949 and served on the staff of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the LDS Hospital for many years. He died on November 1, 2016 at his home in Salt Lake City.
