Biography
Brigham Young (1801-1877) was a Latter-day Saint ecclesiastical leader and politician in Utah.
Brigham Young was born on June 1, 1801, in Witingham, Vermont. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1832, and moved to Kirtland, Ohio. He followed the migration of the Church from Ohio to Missouri to Nauvoo, Illinois. In February 1846, he led the "Mormon Exodus" to the West, and was sustained as the second president of the Church on December 27, 1847. Arriving in Utah, he settled in Salt Lake City, and in 1849 was appointed as governor of Utah Territory. Young passed away on August 29, 1877, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

J. C. Little lists
Handwritten lists of accounts with the Mormon Church and Brigham Young, second president of that faith. The items are dated 31 Dec. 1865, 10 Sept. 1873, and 1 Oct. 1875.
Jesse C. Little letters received and pamphlets
Letters received, miscellaneous items, and pamphlets composed by Little. These materials largely deal with Little's activities in the mission field in the 1840's. Letters are from such prominent individuals as Brigham Young (1801-1877) and Thomas L. Kane.
Era P. Lowe biography
This collection consists of 12 leaves photocopied from a typewritten newspaper article authored by Era P. Lowe, son of Thomas G. Lowe who was a Mormon pioneer; Indian scout, missionary, and colonizer. Thomas Lowe also built tabernacles and other community buildings under the direction of Brigham Young and John Taylor. Thomas was held in high regard among the Mormons, non-Mormons, and Indians alike and served in many community and Mormon Church positions.

J. S. Miles letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 16 Sept. 1875, and addrssed to Lucy Young. Miles asks Young to remind Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church, of his promise to send him a team.
W. Miller letter to Brigham Young
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 27 Jan. 1876, and addressed to Brigham Young, the second president of the Mormon Church. Miller writes to "Bishop" Young asking him to consider a new water wheel developed by "Prof." Miller.
John B. Milner letter to Brigham Young
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 28 Sept. 1875, and addressed to Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church. Milner writes a letter of introduction for Margaret Pembroke.
Mormon Church in Hawaii
Photocopies of correspondence, reports, histories, petitions, resolutions, and miscellaneous items relating to the Mormon Church in Hawaii. Most of the materials are associated with missionary work, and most date from the nineteenth century. A few items are in the Hawaiian language. One letter was written by the Mormon prophet, Brigham Young (1801-1877), and several letters are addressed to Daniel H. Wells, the Mormon apostle.

Handwritten and signed letter, dated 8 June 1875, and addressed to Brigham Young, the second president of the Mormon Church. Myers gives Young complimentary tickets to the circus.
Joseph Neville letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated March 24, 1875, and addressed to Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church. Neville writes concerning his heirship of the Jenning's estate in England.
