Biography

William Monroe Paxman (1881-1960) was a Latter-day Saint missionary in New Zealand from 1903 to 1907.

William Monroe Paxman was born on November 11, 1881, in Provo, Utah to William Reed Horizon Paxman, and Urilda Moody. He married Achsa Henrietta Eggertsen on June 17, 1908, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had five children. William served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand from 1903 to 1907. He worked for ZCMI Wholesale Grocery in Provo, Utah, and served on the Provo School Board and was a member of the Provo Chamber of Commerce. William's wife Achsa was a prominent Utah politician. William died December 21, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
