Biography

Marie De Remer (1905-1996) was the sister of John V. McConnell and a resident of Oregon and California.

Mitta Marie McConnell De Remer was born on August 3, 1905, in Panguitch, Utah, to Jehiel Eli McConnell and Hansene Marie Clove. She moved to Bingham County, Idaho at a young age. Her parents separated when she was a bit older, and in 1928, due to cancer, her father took his own life. She had 7 siblings, two born many years after her. She married Thomas H. Kitts in 1923 and had one child with him. She married Harold Rice De Remer in 1931. She moved from Idaho to Portland and later to Los Angeles, California, where she lived the rest of her life. McConnell died on January 20, 1996.
