Biographical History

Thea Lancaster (1951- ) is a collector of Yellowstone National Park memorabilia.

Thea Lovo was born in Mobridge, South Dakota on February 14, 1951 to Neller and Emma Lovo. Thea met her future husband, Laurence Lancaster, as college students working at Old Faithful Village in Yellowstone during the summer of 1970. They were married at the Chapel of Transfiguration in Grand Teton National Park in 1976. Between the two of them, they were employed by all 3 Yellowstone Park concessionaires. Larry worked 5 summers and Thea worked 6 summers. Larry and Thea and their two daughters spent every summer vacation (except 1981) camping in Yellowstone. Larry and Thea have visited Yellowstone annually for the past 48 years. They began to seriously collect Yellowstone memorabilia in 1990 and have built a research collection of ephemera, art, employment documents, photos, books, high-end souvenirs and an extensive collection of postcards.
