Biographical History

Gladys Heder Biggs (1914-1993) was a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a genealogist.

Gladys Heder Biggs was born on January 19, 1914, in Tucson, Arizona, to parents John Earl Heder and Alta Richardson. As a young woman she served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern States Mission (northern Indiana and West Michigan). On November 15, 1939, she and Wilford Merwin Biggs were married in Mesa, Arizona; together they had nine children. Later in life, the two served a mission together to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. She served in multiple leadership positions in her local ward including Primary president, Relief Society counselor, ward historian, and genealogist.

Gladys Heder Biggs died on February 24, 1993, in Provo, Utah.
