Biography

Barbara Joyce Magnuson Dalby (1925-2014) was a genealogist and family history professional.

Barbara Joyce Magnuson was born on December 23, 1925, in Mt. Vernon, Washington, to Waldo George and Anne Bernice Musser Magnuson. After a short stint in the Navy, she married John Philip Dalby on May 18, 1944, and together they had four children. She was an avid researcher, genealogist, and family history professional. She helped build the Florida State and Illinois State Genealogical Societies and was an officer in Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Dalby died on November 1, 2014, in Sandy, Utah.
