Biographical History

Jonas Otterstrom (1820-1884) was a pioneer for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who helped to settle Utah.

Jonas Jonasson Otterstrom was born on December 7, 1820, in Eksharad, Sweden, to parents Jonas Jonasson and Stina Christophersdatter Otterstrom. He married Hilda Amalia Ahlgren on September 27, 1857, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were the parents of four children: Charlotte (1858-1933), Hyrum (1860-1944), Charles (1862-1902), and Orson (1864-1868).

Jonas died on April 30, 1884, in Ephraim, Utah.
