Biography

Mary Bybee (1916-2008) was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and descendant of early Utah pioneers.

Mary Bybee was born on March 3, 1916, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arnold Riley Shurtleff and Ruth Richardson. As a family they moved to California in 1918. While in Oakland, Mary met Curtis Ray Bybee. They were married on July 17, 1937, in Oakland, California. Together they had five children. They returned with their children to Provo, Utah in 1989. Mary served for twenty years in the Oakland Temple. Mary passed away on January 23, 2008, in Orem, Utah.
