Biographical History

Gerald B. Warnick (1937-1978) was a Mormon accountant in California.

Gerald Brunt Warnick was born on August 14, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Carl G. Warnick and Clarice Brunt. He attended Brigham Young University (BYU), where he participated on the basketball team. In 1957 he left school to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand, spending part of his service there as superintendent of the Mutual Improvement Association for the southern part of the country.

After his return, Warnick married Dawn Thomander in the Los Angeles Temple on November 22, 1960, and they eventually had five children. He also resumed his studies at BYU, receiving his bachelor's degree in accounting in May 1962.

Following graduation, Warnick established himself as an accountant in southern California, eventually becoming a partner at Arthur Andersen in Los Angeles. He remained active in the Church, and served as a bishop and high councilor.

Warnick passed away suddenly on August 11, 1978 while visiting Alaska.
