Aurel Winkler (1898-1984) was an Indian Agent to the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.
Aurel Pratt Winkler was born on November 14, 1898 to Albert William Winkler and Emma Evelyn Fowles in Sanpete, Utah. He served as an Indian Agent to the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. He died July 17, 1984.

Photographs of hills and mountains in Sanpete County, Utah. There are also photographs of Navajo Indians managing sheep and cattle. There are several photographs of sheep being led through sheep dip and of Native Americans marching in a parade. Materials dated 1954-1965.
Aurel Pratt Winkler diaries
Photocopies of two handwritten five-year diaries. Aurel kept these in the last years of his life. He writes about his activities and illnesses. The last entry, 17 July 1984, was written by Aurel's wife, Blanche, on the day he died. "He left me this afternoon."
