Silas LeRoy Richards diary and family histories
Handwritten autobiography and diary, family histories, genealogies, patriarchal blessings, and mementos. Much of the material relates to the history and genealogies of the Richards, Rhead (Reed), Stanley, and Huffman (Hoffman) families. Silas was born in Union and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He held several jobs and served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southern States Mission from 1902 to 1905.
Rose Marie Reid family papers, approximately 1899-1998
Contains clippings and files on Rose Marie Reid's family, including her daughters, Carole Reid Burr and Sharon Reid Alden. Includes a folder of newspaper clippings on the death of her brother and sister-in-law, notes on Reid's ancestors, including Orson Hyde and Matthew Cowley, and Yancey family history. These files also include letters and photographs of their ancestors, of Reid, and her daughters. Dated approximately 1899 to 1998.
