Scope and Contents

Contains items primarily created by or about Davis Bitton while a professor of history at the University of Utah and while Assistant Church Historian. Research notes from his many projects are included in the collection, as well as correspondence between him and his family members and other colleagues. Much of his life's work as church historian is included in this collection. Materials date from between 1834 and 2007.

Scope and Contents Contains photographs taken at and around Brigham Young University (BYU) campus from the 1920s through the 1970s. Many of the photographs were used in church magazines by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The photographs document the changes on BYU campus through aerial photographs as well as photos of the various buildings constructed on campus through this time period. Contains Petersen's personal Gospel Topics files (including two missionary books written by Rose Marie Reid), lecture notes from church and school, family history, correspondence, writings, photographs, and journals. Includes information on the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as Petersen's work at the Church Historical Department. Materials are dated 1935-1999.
