Administrative History

Financial Aids and Loans (1961-1968) was a financial office at Brigham Young University. The office was responsible for processing and distributing funds to both students and staff, and worked under the university Comptroller. Loaned funds were provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The granting of awards was separately managed by the university Committee on Scholarships and Awards.

In 1968 the responsibilities of the office were expanded and it was renamed Financial Aids and Telephone Services.
