Neon Theatre was a movie theater in Dayton, Ohio where John Harvey and Larry Smith brought back Cinerama for a short time.

A special theater was constructed for the Cinerama with the work done mostly by Larry Smith and John Harvey. Larry Smith, the co-owner and former manager of Neon Theatre, convinced John Harvey to bring his collection of Cinerama back to the public for a month. The project was such a success that it was extended to almost four years.

Scope and Contents

Collection of files, photographs, VHS and beta tapes, souvenirs and publicity material relating to the movie presentation system Cinerama. Tapes contain interviews with people involved with various Cinerama movies. Dated approximately 1950-2010. Bulk 1950-1965.
