Administrative History

The Department of Business Management (est. 1997) is an instructional unit at Brigham Young University.

The Department of Business Management was established in 1997 in a reorganization of the earlier Institute of Business Management in the Marriott School of Management. The department provides instruction in various aspects of management, including finances, marketing, entrepreneurship, and ethics. Department chairs include J. Michael Pinegar (1997-2004), Michael J. Swenson (2004-2009), and R. Bruce Money (2009- ).
