Administrative History
The Office of Performance Scheduling (1978-1994) arranged tours for various performing groups at Brigham Young University.
The Office of Performance Scheduling was created in 1978 after the Program Bureau was reorganized. The organization was responsible for coordinating the booking, travel arrangements, supervision, and promotion for all official BYU groups that performed off-campus on state, national and international tour. In addition, the office served as a liaison with numerous government officials and other international sponsors. Groups under the Office of Performance Scheduling included Ballroom Dance Company, The Dancers' Company, Theatre Ballet, Chamber Orchestra, Lamanite Generation (Living Legends), Panoramic Steel, Synthesis, Vocal Point, and Young Ambassadors. Edward L. Blaser served as the director for the Office of Performance Scheduling through its entirety. The Office of Performance Scheduling became Performing Arts Management in 1994.
