Administrative History

The Brigham Young University College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences was established in 1973 in a split of the College of Physical and Engineering Sciences. The college is responsible for the administration of the instructional departments within its subject area.

Scope and Contents note

Contains newspaper clippings, news releases, and photographs concerning the various department within the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences from 1963 to 1997. Materials also concern the Summerhays Planetarium, the Earth Science Museum, the Quey Hebrew Lecture, The Leading Edge science and fiction magazine, microchemistry, natural gas testing and the thermochemical institute, the Astronomical Society, the CAM Software Research Center, and the Combustion Laboratory.
