Institutional Studies (1980-1996) was responsible for internal audits and reviews.

Institutional Studies at Brigham Young University was formed in 1980, and was previously known as Institutional Research & Planning. It was directed by H. Bruce Higley, and was primarily responsible for internal audits and reviews. It was split into two offices in 1996, the Office of Instituitional Analysis and the Office of Assessment.
