Biography
The British Mission (1837-) was the largest mission in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the 19th century.
The British Mission was established on June 4, 1837, when Heber C. Kimball was set apart to open a mission in England. The first missionaries sent to England arrived in Liverpool on July 20, 1837. The British Mission President was also over missions to Europe until the European Mission was created in 1929.
