Custodial History
Journals were in possession of E. Winslow Wolfe, a nephew of Walter M. Wolfe. In 1973 Barbara and Weldon Daines, of Salt Lake City, notified BYU about the journals after becoming aware of their existence during a visit with Wolfe relatives in Michigan. Arthur C. Wolfe mailed the original journals, with a transcription thereof, to retired BYU president Ernest L. Wilkinson in 1974. Subsequent transcriptions were made by BYU. Photocopies of articles by Walter M. Wolfe were gathered by members of the Wolfe family and by Herb Frost, a volunteer in Archives and Manuscripts at BYU, and were added to the collection during the 1970s and 1980s.
