Geneva Steel Holdings Corporation transparencies of plant operations, approximately 1961
Collection consists of personnel and reference files, publications, and other corporate administrative records of the Geneva Steel Holdings Corporation, created between its establishment in 1942 and 2002. Also includes architectural drawings, photographs, negatives, slides, and videos.
Geneva Works photographs
Collection includes 135 photographs of the Geneva Works plant, taken by United States Steel Corporation sometime in the 1950s.
J Malan Heslop photographs of Utah, 1948-1989
Includes 8,305 photographs and slides of Heslop's photojournalism career. The photographs document events in Utah, especially in Salt Lake City include fires and car, airplane, railroad, and mining accidents. In addition, Heslop was assigned to cover the Barnum & Bailey Circus, the first day of school, and life as a Geneva Steel worker. Materials dated 1949-1989.
M.L. Bean Museum slides of Brigham Young University and Utah Valley
Collection consists of a series of one hundred and sixty-seven color slides of photographs taken of Brigham Young University (BYU) campus, U.S. Geneva Steel, and the Utah Valley landscape. The slides were created by the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum and were presumably used for training purposes. Included in the slides relating to BYU campus are views of the campus, buildings, faculty, and campus centers. Slides are undated.
Motion Picture Studio collection
Contains 91 film and audio reels produced by the Brigham Young University Motion Picture Studio. These reels include footage and/or recordings from Geneva Steel from 1955-72 and various church productions and events. Dated after 1953.
