The file contains "How I Won the Victoria Cross" by Piper Laidlaw whose ankle was badly wounded in the war. File also contains articles of Cates, Haig, and Craig--other scout awardees of the Victoria Cross. File also containt the details regarding the awarding of the cross to White and Cruikshank. Dated 1916-1920.

Handwritten and signed letter. This item was written at the headquarters of the Irish brigade at Corpus Christi, Texas on February 24, 1846 and is addressed to Zachary Taylor. Worth defends his actions in the field and explains that he cannot render himself subject to the appropriate authority.
