Joseph Eckersley papers
Microfilmed diaries (1886-1958), correspondence, newsclippings, and ephemera (advertisements, programs, and a prohibition poster). Some letters include correspondence with Mormon leaders Francis M. Lyman, Heber J. Grant, and Charles W. Penrose. The diaries concern his missions for the Mormon Church in England, and life in Loa, Freemont, and Salt Lake City, Utah.
General correspondence, 1880-1927
Materials include correspondence sent to Orson F. Whitney from friends, Church leaders, and admirers (including George H. Brimhall, Benjamin Cluff, and Richard R. Lyman). The writers of the letters compliment his writings, solicit advice, provide general updates, discuss travels, and inquire about gospel principles. Dated 1880-1927.
Charles W. Penrose letters
Handwritten letters dated 9 Feb. and 7 July 1898 and addressed to Frank W. Penrose, Charles' son, serving on a mission for the Mormon Church in Switzerland. The items deal largely with personal and family matters and tell about Charles sending money to Frank to support his missionary efforts.

Contains 40 letters to Samuel Russell [Jr.] from various people. Includes letters from N.V. Jones about Samuel Russell's [Sr.] estate, as well as from George N. Dewey, Cousin John M. [Mishart] and W.W. Browning, H.S. Young and Joel Nibley and Charles W. Penrose, and Hope Goodson. Materials dated May 7, 1889 to May 2, 1920 (one letter is undated).

Contains mission correspondence of Samuel Russell [Jr.] with Charles W. Penrose, the First Presidency of the LDS Church, Ben E. Rich, Joseph F. Smith, and B.H. Roberts, as well as a letter from Marie and Mary Walser of Zurich, Switzerland, which included two pictures of them (transferred to Photo Archives). 9 items, dated April 21, 1902 to October 15, 1903 (two letters undated).
George Albert Smith letter
Typewritten and signed letter dated 18 Nov. 1950 and addressed to Ruth M. Penrose. Smith thanks Penrose for sending him a book of poems by the Mormon Apostle, Charles W. Penrose. Smith praises Charles W. Penrose's poetry and his service to the Mormon Church.
