Handwritten and signed letter by Gunn and his wife, Elisa, dated June 15, 1834 and addressed to Levi Benyamen in Massachusetts. This item describes the difficulties of raising crops in Connecticut and expresses strong anti-Mormon feelings. It also mentions Sidney Rigdon who was a Baptist minister and later joined the Mormon Church.

Photocopies of handwritten letters. One of which is addressed to John C. Bennett, Mormon Apostle and mayor of Nauvoo, Illinois, in which Rigdon announces his resignation as a city coucilman. Rigdon also writes to the state legislature of Pennsylvania seeking redress for the persectutions suffered by the Mormons in Missouri.
