Scope and Contents Contains two journals for the mission of Paul Ludlow in the Northern States Mission in the Midwestern United States during 1901-1902. He served in Michigan, and Illinois, primarily Chicago. Ludlow's entry on April 15, 1902, includes the description of a visit with David Hyrum Smith, youngest son of Joseph Smith, while he was in the Northern Illinois Hospital and Asylum for the Insane in Elgin, Illinois. The second journal also includes a few entries after his mission when he lived in Spanish...
