Transcript of an interview conducted by Jay Drake on 26 July 1985 for the Ray Hillam war project. Kelly Drake was drafted into the United States Army in 1954 (?). He went to Ft. Ord, California, for training, and he was sent to Germany where he was assigned to be a jeep driver. He trained soldiers and played war games. He thought that the United States' participation in the the Korean War was justified.

Scope and Contents Transcript of an interview conducted by Murray Duff, son of John A. Duff, on 15 April 1985 for the Ray Hillam military history project. John A. Duff was stationed in Ft. Benning, Georgia, as an Army aviator before he was assigned to Vietnam in 1965. He served with the 197th Armed Helicopter Company and took over as a platoon commander. Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript of an interview. Dunn was interviewed by Mary A. Hicks in 1937 as part of the Federal Writer's Project for the Works Progress Administration. The item includes handwritten corrections. She describes the master's house and the slave cabins on the plantation. She gives both her own and her master's reaction to the Yankee invasion. She also gives a heartfelt account of her courtship and marriage to her late husband, Jim Dunn.
