Transcript of an interview conducted by Criss James on 10 March 1985 for the Ray Hillam war project. Criss was Dan's nephew. Dan James joined the United States Navy and served in the Korean and Vietnamese wars. He was a senior advisor to the Vietnamese Navy and was assigned to keep the waters clear.

Scope and Contents Typed transcripts of a taped interview by Anthony Sippert conducted on 26 March 1985 for Ray C. Hillam's War Project. Kallunki was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Kallunki was drafted into the United States Army in 1961, he was trained at Fort Ord, California, and was trained as an officer in 1963. Materials contain letters to Larry as he is retained as a POW in North Vietnam from 1966 to 1973. Letters are from his parents, and family members, and also from the Department of Air Force. The series also includes letters of congratulations upon his return home in 1973, as well as letters of sympathy as his second wife and little boy die from a car accident in 1981. The series also contains histories on both Larry and his late wife Annette Huntsman. Dated approximately 1944-2005.

Scope and Contents Transcript of an interview conducted by Tim Turner on 22 July 1985 for the Ray Hillam project. Hillam later used this interview as part of his research for a book. Nay was born in Bowen, Utah, and joined the United States Army in 1962. He was trained as a paratrooper, he went to the Dominican Republic in 1965 where he stayed for eight months, and he was sent to Vietnam in 1968. He said he never killed anyone. He thought the Vietnam War was a "waste" and that it was a "policital" war. ...
