Scope and Contents Transcript of an interview conducted by Denny Roy for the Ray Hillam project probably in 1985. Parkinson served in the United States Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He said that the war was the best and worst experience of his life because he had to learn reliance and trust at that time. He said that his group consisted of 800 men from Idaho, mostly farm boys, and he served as an engineer. He was involved in road, airfield and base construction and in establishing water systems....
